Kalamos is about as old Greece as it gets. You anchor right by the village, and the first thing you will see is the stone windmill on the hill. It is a literal 20-second walk from the pier to the taverna. Try the gavros with a bit of garlic and vinegar because they usually catch them that morning. The village is tiny, with one church, a bakery that smells incredible, and a handful of houses. It is quiet and that is the point.
